I love it ! I love to take it everywhere with me and compose something on the fly. I loved to do it with the OP-1 and I love doing it with this one. (I'll start using verbs than 'to love' from now on, I promise)
Of course it's similar to the OP-1 but actually, it compares more to a complex pocket operator with many possibilities in my opinion.
I love the sounds, I love how you can twist them and I love spending a few hours with it and having a song at the end.
There are only two caveat in my opinion.
Firstly, the 'final mix' is a little flat. I wish the basses were a little more present and it lacks a bit of character. You could load track by track into your DAW but the architecture of the OP-Z doesn't make this easy in my opinion. Every track is a sequencer, I guess you could enter your sequenced loop from the different channels (lead, bass, sample, etc.) but then you have to forget to play 'live' with the OP-Z's effects which I love.
Secondly because it's all sequencer based it kinda pushes you to write a certain way. It intuitively goes toward an EDM way of writing with loops building up on each other. The OP-1 was a little more open and you could go explore different directions easily.
All in all, I love to carry it everywhere with me with a good set of headphone and start creating on the fly and I can't wait bringing this thing with me on holidays.
