The Fender 1959 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic RW Aged Sage Green Metallic #CZ581747 is all about the late fifties Strat.
Alder body & Quarter Sawn Maple Neck
For the neck of the 1959 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic RW Aged Sage Green Metallic, the FenderCustom store chose a particularly fine piece of Quarter Sawn Maple. The quarter-cut maple wood has vertical growth rings from headstock to neck foot, so that the neck offers reliable stability and is particularly resistant to warping in the long term. The 1959 'D' profile neck is finished off with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard in AAA quality, while the body made from selected alder completes the basic design of the 1959 Stratocaster in a historically harmonious way.
Fat '50s Single Coils & Vintage Modified #2 Wiring
Three hand-wound Custom Shop Fat '50s single coils in the neck, middle and bridge positions provide the typical multi-faceted sound of the Stratocaster in the 1959 Strat. The single coils, wound according to the classic recipe, are characterized by their particularly powerful sound with present mids and defined highs, without denying their unmistakable Strat DNA. Thanks to Vintage Modified #2 Wiring, the circuit has an additional Tone Saver Bleed. This prevents treble losses when the volume control is turned down, so that the full spectrum of the pickup can be called up at all volume settings without any loss of sound.
