Due to its compact dimensions, the DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel from Black Magic Design is ideal for freelance film editors and colorists. It brings many special tools for the targeted tinting and color value ranges of luminance and chrominance. In addition, three weighted, high-resolution trackballs provide a comfortable and progressive workflow. A total of 12 precision-engineered controls are provided, while buttons are used to switch between the Log and Primary wheels and to access the Full Screen view.
The Y Lift, Y Gamma and Y Gain controls are used to adjust for luminance, while the Luminance control alters brightness without affecting color saturation. The Contrast sl ider varies the tonal differences between light and dark areas of the image. The Pivot slider lets you refine the adjusted contrast in the tonal center, and the "Midtone Detail" slider defines the perceived sharpness of the image. The "Color Boost" gives the colors a higher saturation, while with the "Shadows" and "Highlights" sliders you can lighten respectively darken the drawing in the shadows.
