FENDER 1959 Relic Precision Bass RW Aged Olympic White
Fender Custom Shop E-Bass with split coil pickup and exchange pickup, including case and certificate
The Fender 1959 Relic Precision Bass RW Aged Olympic White from the Fender Custom Shop is an authentic reproduction of the legendary electric bass with historically correct equipment and classic vintage sound. Accordingly, the 1959 Relic Precision is equipped with a split coil pickup for the classic bass tone, while the alder body and maple neck are screwed together.
Traditional construction
Under the artificially aged nitrocellulose lacquer of the Fender Custom Shop 1959 Relic Precision Bass hides a traditionally built electric bass. The body is made of two particularly light alder parts, while the maple neck is fastened with the screw connection established by Leo Fender at the beginning of the 1950s. With its strong "Oval C" profile, the neck offers a pleasant grip even when playing in a powerful playing style, so that between the 20 frets of the rosewood fingerboard every groove is easy to handle.
Fender 1959 Relic Precision: split coil or single coil
The Fender Custom Shop 1959 Relic Precision is equipped ex works with a split coil pickup, with which the bass on the amplifier delivers the legendary Preci sound. With rich bass, the characteristic growling in the low frequencies and transparent highs, he lays the foundation for classical rock, funk and blues bands, whereby the lively dynamics enable expressive electric bass playing. The scope of delivery also includes a Fender Custom Shop Single Coil Pickup, as it was originally used between 1951 and 1957. With it, the electric bass delivers a more brilliant sound with natural compression, which contributes an independent sound with a strong character.
Authentic vintage style hardware
Hardware in authentic vintage styling completes the Fender 1959 Relic Precision Bass. The body uses the traditional Fender bass bridge, whose base plate is made of angled sheet steel and has four separately adjustable string adjusters. From the bridge, the strings are guided with the classic Longscale scale of 34" (864 mm) towards the headstock, where they run over the bone saddle to the proven Fender vintage tuners.
