Shortly after its debut in 1954, the Les Paul Custom as the ultimate example of perfect guitar design. To this day, the Custom version of the legendary Les Paul is one of the most popular instruments of the noble forge and is the guarantor for the exclusive and legendary Les Paul sound. She Les Paul Custom is a thoroughbred baby of the Gibson Custom Shop 50's and is based on the model equipment of the 50's, but without being historical Instrument in every detail. The excellently processed Paula spoils with typical Custom features such as a multi-layer body binding, and a classic Silverburst finish Hardware . Gold
The classic glued neck construction ensures seamless transitions between neck and body.
Rounded Neck & Gold Hardware
For classic playability and legendary LP Custom handling, a one-piece mahogany neck in a bold but nimble Rounded profile. The Gibson Custom Shop Paula uses a uniformly manufactured Richlite fingerboard with the proven radius of 12".
Robust Grover Tuner not only provide the authentic Paula- Silhouette thanks to classic Tulip wings, but also promise a long-lasting use. On the other side of the instrument there is a Gibson Tune-o-Matic according to original design by Ted McCarty with individually adjustable string riders and Thumb wheels for correcting the string position. The LP Custom style relies Gibson on a robust Premium Hardware uniform Gold finish.

490R & 498T Pickups
Also in terms of pick-up equipment, the boys know from Gibson Custom Shop what is good. The 490R used in the neck position is the modern equivalent of the popular '57 Classic pickup. The pickup provides a contemporary, irresistible Humbucker sound due to a light amplification in the area of the high mids and the use of Alnico 2 Vintage magnets. A 498T equipped with Alnico V magnets Vintage provides steam at the jetty. The hotter version of the popular 490T delivers warm, punchy lead sounds with pronounced mids and highs and will make rockers a lot of friends...
