As a Hollowbody electric guitar for contemporary demands, the Gibson ES-275 Custom 2018 Sunset Burst embodies classic Gibson charm and contemporary sounds and features. The Gibson L-5 inspired body design offers the ideal balance between resonance volume and playability, while the 'C' mahogany neck Rounded , known from traditional Gibson designs, features the classic neck strength. Two MHS Humbucker in neck and bridge position specially wound for the Gibson Hollowbody Line-Up deliver a wide dynamic range with moderate output and are controlled by classic volume and tone controls for each pickup. Last but not least, the Memphis Tone Circuit for precise volume roll-offs without loss of height.
Classic L-5 contours with compact dimensions are the Silhouette features of the ES-275 Custom 2018.

Agile Mid-Depth Hollowbody design
The body of the ES-275 Custom 2018, made of three-ply maple/poplar laminate, is manufactured in a classic semi-acoustic design without center block and with classic F holes. Round contours, such as the Venetian Gibson L-5 inspired cutaway, offer maximum playing comfort and unrestricted access to the high registers of the fingerboard, while the curvature of the top and back provide additional resonance. Of course the ES-275 gets a multi-layer body binding as well as a noble Hardware finish Gold .
Especially for the ES models from the Gibson Memphis Facility, the MHS Humbucker produces Gibson a pickup adapted to semi-hollow and hollowbody guitars that adequately reproduces the acoustic sound character of the instruments. In the neck and bridge position of the ES-275 they produce a sound ranging from warm and jazzy sounds to more powerful blues rock. Thanks to hand-wired electronics including gibsons Memphis Tone Circuit , the sound of the ES-275 Custom 2018 is not affected when the volume potentiometer is actuated and a treble rolloff is achieved.
