With the Gretsch G6199-BBP Billy-Bo Penguin Closet Classic Black , Music Store Custom Guitars has once again commissioned a very special electric guitar from Gretsch Master Stephen Stern, which Penguin combines the unique Billy-Bo Signature model with design elements of the G6199-BBP. Accordingly, the electric Custom Shop guitar has a mahogany body with a maple top and a glued mahogany neck, which carries an ebony fingerboard in the compound radius. The adequate Rock 'n'Roll sound is also provided by two powerful TV Jones Power'Tron Humbucker . In addition, the Gretsch Custom Shop Billy-Bo Penguin one Bigsby B3G Vibrato offers, a pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge and Grover Imperial mechanics.

Classic Billy-Bo design in solid mahogany construction
For the Gretsch Custom Shop G6199-BBP Billy-Bo Penguin , Master Builder Stephen Stern relies on the tried and tested construction of the G6199-BBP. The body is made of mahogany with a maple top, while the glued neck is also made of mahogany and carries an ebony fingerboard. The round " Original "-profile and the increasing compound radius from 12" to 16" (305 mm to 406 mm) of the fingerboard promise a comfortable playability over all 22 frets.
Two TV Jones Power'Tron Humbucker stand for hot sounds between Rock 'n'Roll and Rockabilly. The pickguard is decorated with a bearded penguin in a cowboy hat.

The electric sound conversion of the Gretsch G6199-BBP Billy-Bo Penguin is done by two TV Jones Power'Tron Humbucker in neck and bridge position. With their increased output and the present midrange spectrum, they deliver a hot Rock 'n'roll sound at the amplifier, whose lively dynamics in Clean both the - and the Overdrive -channel optimal conditions for hot Rpck'n'Roll and Rockabilly sounds. The typical Gretsch -circuit, which offers separate volume controls for each pickup, a master volume and a master tone, can be used to recall a variety of timbres.
