The construction of the Höfner Ignition Club Bass SE follows the historical guidelines of the sixties. The practical resonance body made of laminated maple carries a top made of laminated spruce and promises together with the short 30" scale length (762 mm) a particularly sonorous sound with authentic vintage character. The Shortscale construction together with the surprisingly slim profile of the glued maple neck provide buttery smooth playing characteristics.

The sound of the Ignition Club Bass SE Sunburst is transformed by Höfner Ignition Staple pickups in neck and bridge position. The authentic replicas of the original Höfner pickups sorgen at the bass amp for a warm vintage tone with a deep bass foundation, which is ideally suited for the classic sounds of the British Invasion. The pickups are managed with the authentic Höfner circuitry, which features separate volume controls and on/off switches for the pickups as well as a rhythm/solo switch.
