The UNO Synth Pro from IK Multimedia is a compact, analog desktop synthesizer that can be played monophonically or paraphonically. Three oscillators with variable waveforms including PWM provide a rich sound foundation. The possibilities in the field of tone generators are further extended with ring modulator, noise generator and hardsync.
Two filters are available for processing the rich basic sound. The 12dB OTA multimode filter and the 12/24dB SSI filter can be used alternatively, or combined in serial or parallel configuration. A total of 24 combinations are possible, which then even allows notch and bandpass filtering. Liveness is added to the beautiful sound with two ADSR envelopes and two very flexible LFOs. If that's not enough, the modulation matrix provides 16 entries where almost everything can be linked and modulated. The IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro is rounded off with freely linkable delay, reverb and modulation effects and an analog distortion unit.
Thanks to the arpeggiator and intuitive step sequencer with up to 64 steps of pattern length (four bars), the UNO Synth Pro also cuts a fine figure as an analog groove box. The parameter locks as well as slide and accent commands also contribute to this, which is indispensable for striking basslines. The instrument is played and programmed with a high-quality Fatar TPS9 keyboard, which is velocity sensitive and responds to aftertouch.
In addition to audio, USB and MIDI connections, there are CV/Gate inputs and outputs on the back, which means that he will get along very well in both directions, for example, with a modular system.
I have been using this synthesizer for almost a year now and it never ceases to please and inspire me! The sound is very fat and rich, unlike the timbre of other synthesizers. Nice ergonomics and stylish design. This synth is definitely worth more than they want for it. I really hope someday IK will release a poly version of this miracle. Bravo to the developers from IK
