The Line 6 JTV-69S, Black takes Line 6's ground-breaking Variax modelling technology and combines it with a three single-coil, double-cutaway electric guitar.
The JTV-69S features an alder body with a bolt-on solid maple neck and fingerboard in a '59 Tyler profile. There are 22 medium-jumbo frets decorated with dot inlays.
The inclusion of three vintage-style single-coil pickups enables the JTV-69S to play like any other electric guitar, offering brilliant tones with a unique and versatile character.
The JTV-69S is also fitted with an L.R. Baggs Radiance Hex piezo pickup system under the bridge, which utilises the on-board Variaz technology. The piezo pickup processes the guitar's signal and models the sounds of other electric guitars.
The JTV-69S features 28 different guitar sounds, including models based on a 1960 Fender Telecaster Custom, 1959 Fender Stratocaster, 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard, 1956 Gretsch Silver Jet and 1968 Rickenbacker 360-12.
Each of the 28 guitar models features different pickup selection options found on the models that they're based on. Additionally, there are 6- and 12-string acoustic guitar models, as well as banjo and sitar sounds.
Another innovative element of the JTV-69S is the included Alternate Tunings control, where users can instantly change the tuning of the guitar at the flick of a switch. The different tunings include Eb tuning, Drop D, DADGAD, Open D, Open G and Drop Db.
The JTV-69S comes with the Variax Workbench software, which enables users to mix and match the body type and pickups from any of the 28 guitar models to create customised presets, as well as adding user-made tuning presets, all of which can be accessed via the guitar's on-board control knobs.
