MXR DD25V3 Dookie Drive
is a limited edition
overdrive pedal
that delivers the sound of
Green Day's
famous
Dookie
album. As
Billie Joe Armstrong's
signature pedal, it incorporates the circuits modeled after Billie's modified
Super Lead amplifiers 'Pete' and 'Meat'
and offers a smooth transition between the two overdrive sounds. The former offers a
powerful midrange
with a
radiant presence
in the mix, while the latter provides a powerful
high-gain
sound with
reduced midrange
. The
Gain
and
Tone
controls operate on the 'Meat' circuit, while the 'Pete' sound can be adjusted via
two internal trim pots
. In addition, there is a
scoop switch
on board to lower the mids if necessary. Fans better strike quickly, because the Dookie Drive with the
