All solid tenor ukulele with koa body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 34.1 mm nut width, including bag
With the Martin 2K Tenor Uke, the traditional American manufacturer Martin from Nazareth in Pennsylvania enriches its product range with an unusual tenor ukulele made of fine Hawaiian koa wood that not only perfectly embodies the craftsmanship of the manufacturer, but also the sounds of traditional hula music. Its all solid construction based on a Koa body creates a highly dynamic sound image, which is coloured with an extraordinary warmth in the middle frequencies. A wafer-thin matte finish favours the strong vibration behaviour of the woods and ensures a quick response and development of the sound, which fades away softly and persistently in the overtones. The slim mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard offers the player comfortable access to all 20 frets. Thanks to the generous 431.8 mm scale length and 34.1 mm nut width, there is enough room to easily master even more complex fingerings. The open gear nickel tuners guarantee precise tuning of the strings which, thanks to a saddle and a nut made of TUSQ, intonate cleanly in all positions. Ornaments such as the mother-of-pearl inlays, the grained ivoroid bindings and an elaborate multi-stripe soundholerosette, combined with a matte finish, lend this high-quality instrument a particularly tasteful touch. The Martin 2K Tenor Uke comes with a sturdy Martin bag.
