With the Mayones Regius 7 Jeans Black, the noble manufacturer from Gdansk, Poland, sends an elaborately built 7-string electric guitar into the race, whose metier is the multifaceted sounds of modern progressive rock and metal. The guitar is built with neck-thru construction and first-class woods and convinces with an extremely agile handling for virtuoso playing techniques. At the same time, hand-wound Mayones TKO by Bare Knuckle pickups provide differentiated tones of a modern character, whose sharp tone definition also skilfully implements drop tunings at high gain. A high-quality hardware equipment with locking tuners and bridge by Hipshot as well as S-Locks by Schaller completes the Regius 7 Jeans
For the luxurious neck-through construction of the Regius 7, Mayones uses carefully selected woods that guarantee a first-class look and sound. The heart of the electric guitar is the full-length and extremely robust neck made of maple, mahogany, ovangkol and wenge. The body wings made of swamp ash also carry a top made of curly maple in intensely figured AAA quality. Optimal playing characteristics up to the 24th stainless steel fret of the ebony fingerboard are also guaranteed by the flat D-neck profile with 16" fingerboard radius.
As pickups for the Regius 7 Mayones chooses two TKO by Bare Knuckle humbuckers in the seven-string version, whose sound is optimally tailored to the needs of progressive rock and metal guitarists and also integrates the B-string with tight definition. The TKO neck humbucker uses classic Alnico V magnets to deliver an open tone with woody warmth for crystal-clear cleans and precisely resolved chords. In the bridge position, meanwhile, the TKO Bridge Humbucker, armed with ceramic magnets, delivers powerful and focused tones that portray every note with absolute precision, even at high gain settings. While the coil split option expands the Regius 7's repertoire of bell-like single coil tones, the treble bleed circuit on the volume knob prevents unwanted tone loss when turning down the volume.
The Regius 7 Jeans Black is rounded off by a top-quality hardware set-up that can handle even the toughest touring assignments with unrestricted reliability. The bridge is the popular Hipshot Fixed Guitar Bridge, whose generously adjustable string saddles guarantee optimal intonation and string action even when drop-tuning with powerful string sets.
