In the construction of the BFR Luke III Woody, Music Man relies on high-quality tonewoods that know how to please with an impressive appearance and lively sound characteristics. While the comfortably designed body is made of lightweight okoume wood, the maple burl top in the classic "Walnut Burst" finish ensures maximum attention. The rosewood bolt-on neck offers excellent playing characteristics up to the highest positions of the 22-fret fingerboard thanks to the slim V-profile and silky oil-wax finish.
Two Music Man Custom Wound humbuckers with Alnico and ceramic magnets provide together with the active preamp for first-class rock sounds.

As pickup for BFR Woody Luke III Music Man chooses two Custom Wound humbuckers, which elicit first-class Classic rock sounds from the guitar amplifier. The neck humbucker with ceramic magnets promises warm yet transparent tones for sparkling cleans and singing solos, while the hotter bridge pickup with Alnico magnets provides juicy Distortion sounds with well-dosed aggressiveness and assertiveness. In addition, the Steve Lukather Signature guitar features a Music Man Custom preamp, whose optional gain boost tickles the last ounce of distortion out of the guitar amp after pressing the push/push switch in the volume control.
On the compact Music Man "4+2" headstock, Schaller M6 locking tuners ensure accurate and stable tuning.
