Here Music Man relies on a Select Hardwood body with optimized lines and a bolt-on neck made of Roasted Maple, which carries a maple fingerboard with 22 stainless steel frets. Two powerful Music Man Standard Neodymium humbuckers and an active 3-band tone control with 18 volts of operating voltage provide furthermore for particularly versatile bass sounds, which reproduce also the low B-string defined. furthermore the Music Man StingRay 5 Special HH MN Ghost Wood offers weight-saving Music ManCustom Lightweight tuners and a Music ManVintage Top Load bridge.

Classic construction with first-class playing comfort
In terms of construction, Music Man uses a traditional wood selection for the StingRay 5 Special HH, which ensures a defined and harmonious output of all five strings. The body of the 5-string bass is made of light, carefully selected hardwood, while the five-piece neck is made of sturdy roastedmaple with a maple fingerboard. High playability is also ensured by the revised body contours, which make the Bass fit comfortably against the body, and the sculpted neck joint, which, in conjunction with the convenient "C" neck profile, makes all 22 stainless steel frets easily accessible.
Two powerful neodymium humbuckers and the active 3-band EQ with 18-volt power supply promise multi-faceted bass sounds for almost any genre.

Equipped with two Music Man Standard neodymium humbucker pickups, the StingRay 5 Special HH proves to be a true all-rounder that can be used to lay down the right groove for almost any style of music. Thanks to the powerful magnet material, the pickups deliver an output-strong, finely resolved tone that reproduces even the low B string with crisp response and optimal tone definition. The pickups, or their individual coils, can be connected in different combinations via the 5-way blade switch, so that a wide range of characterful timbres is available. For further tuning of the sound, a 3-band tone control operated with 18 volts is also on board.
The headstock of the Music Man StingRay 5 Special HH MN Ghost Wood is equipped with five Music Man Custom Lightweight machine heads.
Weight optimized tuners and steel bridge
Last but not least, the Music Man StingRay 5 Special HH MN Ghost Wood features high-quality hardware that has been optimally tuned for the five-stringer. Accordingly, the solid steel Music Man Vintage top-load bridge is used on the body. At the headstock, five weight-optimized Music Man Custom lightweight machine heads in the classic "4+1" layout ensure precise tuning.
