QSC CP12 (Single)
The QSC CP8 (Single) is a 2-way full-range active speaker with a 1000W Class-D amplifier module and DSP. The speaker is equipped with a 8" woofer and a 1.4" compression driver. Thanks to the built-in high-performance DSP, you can customize the active speaker for your events and then save the scene.
The CP8 powered speaker operates in a frequency range of 56Hz-20kHz and has a maximum sound pressure level of 124dB. Thanks to the numerous connections the CP8 is equipped for every eventuality. The compact housing of the CP8 is made of scratch-resistant plastic. The speaker grille is made of powder-coated steel. Ergonomic handles ensure a comfortable fit. The CP8 powered speaker has a monitor pitch of 55° and can also be used as a floor monitor or as usual on a speaker stand. In addition, the CP8 is equipped with a 35mm high-pole socket.
The CP8 has a pair of XLR/jack combo ports as well as a 3.5mm stereo jack port. The first is equipped with a line level input while the second one has a mic/line level input. The 3.5mm stereo input jack has an independent gain control and is suitable for the connection of sources such as smartphones, computers or MP3 players. With each channel having independent gain control, you no longer need a mixer for small gigs.

The CP12 delivers a big performance for the money, and the CP8 is a very powerful compact unit that could see excellent use as a monitor, instruments reinforcement or small PA.
CONCLUSION
“Having spent some time with the CP Series speakers I’d say that QSC have met their objectives very well. These are not by any means ‘cheap’ speakers and although they are certainly more affordable than the K Series, they are by no means significantly inferior for general live use provided the venue size is appropriate. They are not ‘cut down’ K Series speakers, but a completely new and different product with their won technology. The CP Series benefit from excellent quality build, are ergonomically very good and practical as portable powered speakers, and both models have ample power and make truly excellent monitors. Anyone buying in the QSC product line with these and making a future step up to the K Series would already own a great set of monitors as part of a scalable branded rig – just don’t plan on trading them in at a later date, as you’ll want to keep them.”
