Flexible damping system for 22" bass drums

The HK-MUFF-22 damping system from Remo allows an extremely flexible damping of the bass drum, and that in no time at all. The system does not dampen the skin completely, but rather allows an exact positioning of the cushion for an optimal damping of the bass drum.

Perfect cushioning for percussion and resonance skin

The system consists of a tubular cushion and three holding clamps, which are mounted inside the bass drum with the help of Velcro. The clamps can be flexibly positioned on the Velcro tape to achieve the desired degree of damping. In this way, both the percussion and the resonance fur can be optimally damped.

Sizes and applications

The Remo damping system is available in three sizes from 18" to 22", whereby the large cushion can also be used in a small bass drum to achieve particularly strong damping. Conversely, the small cushion can of course also be mounted in a large bass drum to ensure a more moderate damping. A common combination for a 22" bass drum would be the HK-MUFF-22 system for the list side and the smaller HK-MUFF-18 for the resonance side.
