Accordingly, the strong maple neck with 44.5 mm nut width offers enough room for clean finger placement, which is further enhanced by the hybrid frets with wide jumbos from the 1st to 16th frets and narrower medium frets from the 17th to 21st frets. The high frets of the maple fingerboard from the 17th fret onwards also feature a scalloping under the high strings, which supports fast solo runs and bendings. Last but not least, the neck of the Yamaha Attitude Limited 3 features a "slap cut" for easy slaps and pops.

Versatile Billy Sheehan signature sound

Through a bass amp, the Yamaha Attitude Limited 3 Black delivers the typical Billy Sheehan sound, which is not only characterized by a powerful low-end, but also by precise sound reproduction. Right at the neck a YGD Woofer pickup provides heavy, abyssal bass sounds, which appear even more powerful thanks to the switchable High-Cut. In the middle position, however, the DiMarzio Will Power Split-Coil promises a rich sound with enormous punch in the mid-range. In addition to separate volume controls for each pickup, the classic passive circuit also offers treble control for the Woofer pickup. To send the signals from the Woofer and Split-Coil to separate bass amps, the Yamaha Attitude Limited 3 Black is equipped with a stereo output. If desired, the signals from both pickups can be sent out together via a jack socket as usual.

Furthermore Gotoh GB2 bass tuners on the headstock ensure precise and stable tuning of the four-string, while the Hipshot D tuner allows the E-string to be tuned to D at lightning speed.
