Full tube guitar amplifier with 50 Watt 6L6 amplifier and three channels
With the EVH5150III 50W 6L6 Head , Eddie van Halen presents a power reduced version of the large 5150III top, according to many guitarists' wishes. The three-channel design promises a wide sound spectrum from crystal-clear Clean to unmistakable High Gain Brown Sound , with the 6L6 Beam power amplifier providing classic US sounds.
From Clean to lead on 3 channels
The 3-channel construction of the 5150IIIS 50W 6L6 Head offers a very flexible sound image and satisfies every wish from clear clean to a shattering High Gain sound. The revised Channel 1 forms the basis for Clean -sounds and delivers an even clearer sound with organic compression, while Channel 2 and 3 benefit from the immense gain reserves of the 12AX7 septum and the brute powerful character of the 6L6 tubes, allowing crunch and lead sounds to be heard in a wide range.
For Channel 1 and Channel 2, individual volume and Gain controls are available on concentric double-deck potentiometers, while they share the 3-Band equalization. Channel 3, on the other hand, has its own volume and Gain tone controls. Of course Presence and Resonance controls are available for shaping the high and Low low frequency range in the power amplifier.
