Transmisser
Resonant Reverberations
The Transmisser is unique reverb effect pedal, featuring a very long trail and a resonant filter which create huge sounding reverbs with pulsating after-effects. Use the Decay knob to dictate the length of the trail, increasing as it moves further clockwise. The signal generated after reverberation can be adjusted tonally using the Darkness knob, with brighter tones found by turning anti-clockwise and the darker colours clockwise. The resonant filter processing the reverb can have its frequency altered using the Freq knob – increasing as you turn from left to right. This can be used to marry the tone of the effect to the key of the music, although an expression pedal can be connected via the side input to control the Freq parameter whilst playing. Use the Warp control to affect the entire output signal – warm and wide turned left, darker and tighter towards the right. The modulation of the Freq and Darkness controls, alongside the reverb itself, is tied to the Rate knob, the range of which is influenced by the Warp control. Finally, wet/dry composition can be set using the Mix knob to get the effect exactly where you need it. The Transmisser is handmade in the USA, as are all Earthquaker Devices pedals.
The main features of the Earthquaker Devices Transmisser include:
If you need the most pronounced ambient effect, then this is your pedal. Deep adjustments of all acoustic characteristics in this small pedal will allow you to replace a powerful processor or a large pedal board. The only nuance is the preparation of the signal for this pedal, as it is very sensitive to the level of the signal and its frequency response.
