The Fender 1954 Telecaster Journeyman Relic MN Faded Aged Nocaster Blonde #R136864 offers the look, sound and feel of the original from the mid-fifties.
Two-piece ash body & rift sawn maple neck
While the body of the Fender 1954 Telecaster Journeyman Relic MN Faded Aged Nocaster Blonde is made from two selected pieces of ash to match the original and has historically correct dimensions, the 1954 U-profile neck offers an unmistakable mid-fifties feel. The neck made from rift-cut maple (Rift Sawn Maple) presents the highest quality wood selection with standing growth rings from headstock to neck heel and carries 21 frets in medium-vintage format. Thanks to the increasing compound radius from 7.25" to 9.5", the fretboard combines an authentic vintage feel with modern playability.
Fender Custom Shop '51 Loaded Nocaster Single Coils
It goes without saying that the FenderCustom Shop in Corona, California makes no compromises when it comes to the pickup equipment of the Fender 1954 Telecaster Journeyman Relic and relies on two hand-wound Custom Shop '51 Loaded Nocaster Single Coils. The traditionally wound single coils are in the tradition of the first single coils ever used on Fender instruments and impress with their raw, unpolished 'twang' sound, which is also suitable for dynamic cleans and expressive playing if required. Both pickups are wired via a Fat '50s Tele Wiring, and lose less treble at lower volume control settings.
