The Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire MN Lake Placid Blue is an authentic recreation of the first Esquire electric guitar with which the Californian company laid the foundation for its success story in 1950. Just like the historic original, the Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire features a light pine body, while the strong neck is made of maple in the "'50 Broadcaster U" profile. A Fender Tim Shaw Designed Esquire single-coil, managed via the typical Esquire circuitry, provides crisp vintage sounds with twang at the bridge. Last but not least, authentic hardware including an American Vintage string-through-body bridge and precise vintage style tuners complete the Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire MN Lake Placid Blue and ensure tuning stability.

With the powerful "50 Broadcaster U" neck profile and the classic 7.25" fretboard radius, this electric guitar offers the realistic feel of a vintage original.

A single coil developed by pickup luminary Tim Shaw in bridge position handles the electrical sound conversion of the Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire MN Lake Placid Blue. Based on the original pickup from a '50s Esquire at Songbirds Musuem in Chattanooga, Tennessee, this pickup delivers a lively vintage sound with perfect twang and high assertiveness. The Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire pickup is naturally managed by the authentic and authentically versatile 3-way Esquire circuitry. Accordingly, position 1 of the blade switch enables only the volume control, while position 2 activates the volume and tone controls. Position 3, on the other hand, connects the volume knob to a fixed treble roll-off.
