With the Fender Limited Edition 1959 Precision Bass Journeyman Relic Aged Dakota Red, the Fender Custom Shop sends a loving reissue of the '59 P-Bass in the coveted Custom Color Finish into the race. Besides the classic construction with alder body and bolt-on maple neck, Fender uses a hand-wound split-coil pickup for rich vintage tones. Authentic hardware including the typical aluminum pickguard completes the Limited Edition 1959 Precision Bass Journeyman Relic Aged Dakota Red from the Fender Custom Shop.
Under the gauzy nitrocellulose finish with lovingly executed ageing, only carefully selected tonewoods are used, which promise a lively sound. The Fender Custom Shop 1959 Precision Bass features a two-piece alder body and a bolt-on Quartersawn Maple neck with a historically accurate Flat Laminated Rosewood fingerboard. The pleasingly round "'60 Precision Bass Oval C" neck profile with 44.5mm nut width also promises comfortable playing characteristics with enough room for clean finger placement.
As pickup for the Limited Edition 1959 Precision Bass Aged Dakota Red the Fender Custom Shop chooses a hand-wound '57 split-coil pickup, which is placed in the middle of the body. Accordingly, the bass amplifier provides an absolutely authentic vintage sound with a deep bass foundation, rich growling low-mids and a silky overtone spectrum. To control the tone, the Custom Shop electric bass also offers the traditional passive circuit with controls for volume and tone.
Of course, a historically accurate hardware finish completes the Limited Edition 1959 Precision Bass Journeyman Relic Aged Dakota Red from Fender. While the large pickguard made of anodized aluminum determines the look of the bass, the vintage-style bridge ensures optimal adjustment of intonation and string action. Behind the bone saddle, vintage-style bass tun ers promise precise tuning of the four-stringer. Last but not least, the typical covers for bridge and bridge are installed.
