Semi-Hollow with VariTone switch and Maestro Vibrato
The Gibson Memphis 1964 ES-345 is a successful reissue of the legendary Electric Spanish models and comes with some useful enhancements. Thanks to the original Maestro Vibrato and a classic VariTone switch for tone control, the potent Semi-Hollow unfolds its full potential on every amp. Last but not least, a traditional sixties cherry finish and aged gold hardware provide the successful vintage look.

Vibrato and VariTone
Shimmering vibrato sounds and flowing glissandi are provided by the popular Lyre vibrato system, later known as Maestro Vibrola. This pioneer of tailpiece vibrato systems with its characteristic handling is considered a coveted feature among fans and collectors.
In contrast to fixed capacitors, the VariTone switch offers the choice between 6 positions, which connect capacitors with different capacitances. This results in different treble rolloffs per tone pot and a correspondingly wide sound field, to which B.B. King already swore with his Lucille.
Gibson's 1964 ES-345 comes with hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
MHS sound
Gibson's MHS humbuckers were developed with the sole aim of authentically recreating the classic sound of the P.A.F. pickups of early semihollows. The keys to success are different Alnico blends for neck and bridge as well as slightly differently wound coils. The tonal result is reflected in striking mids and bell-like trebles with a large dynamic range. Last but not least, hand-selected CTS potentiometers with a resistance of 550 kOhm and logarithmic characteristic curve provide the classic potentiometer response, while the VOS '60s Cherry Finish conjures up a true vintage look.
