As an authentic recreation of an electric guitar from the first third of the production year, the Gibson 60th Anniversary 1960 Les Paul Standard VOS V1 is a virtually unchanged continuation of the much sought-after 59 models with a stronger "Authentic '59 Medium C" neck profile, "Top Hat Knobs" on the controls and Kluson "Single Line/Single Ring" tuners. Naturally the classic construction features a one-piece mahogany body, flamed maple top and glued mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, while Gibson Custombuckers promise the authentic vintage tone. They deliver a vibrant vintage sound with velvety lows, vocally singing mids and a breezy treble range that can be used to play both clean and distorted blues, jazz or rock songs. The pickups are controlled via the classic 3-way toggle switch circuit with separate volume and tone controls from CTS for each pickup. Authentic paper in oil capacitors furthermore promise particularly smooth treble cuts.
