The ergonomically designed Alder body and the screwed S-Tech Wood neck offer unimpeded playability, while specially developed Seymour Duncan Hyperion pick-ups with Dyna-MIX10 circuitry ensure versatile sounds with lively articulation. The Ibanez AZ2402 also features a high-quality Gotoh T1802 tremolo with titanium string riders and Gotoh H.A.P. locking mechanisms.

The 2x Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbucker produce a moderately increased output and a balanced reproduction of all frequencies, so that in connection with the lively dynamics expressive Guitar playing is supported. The pick-ups are selected in familiar combinations using the 5-way blade switch, whereby additional options can be called up thanks to the Dyna-MIX10 circuit.
