The Klark Teknik Mic Booster CM-1 delivers 25dB fixed gain for dynamic microphones and passive ribbon microphones. The power supply is 48V phantom power and is not passed on to the microphone. This makes the CM-1 not only suitable for large dynamic diaphragms, such as the Shure SM7B or EV RE20, or classic ribbons, but also protects sensitive ribbon microphones from accidentally applied phantom power. Due to its small size and stable steel housing, it can also be placed directly at the foot of the microphone stand, which again has a positive effect on the transmission quality by increasing the signal voltage early on.
