FET and TUBE Drive
Just like the full-blown Digbeth Bass amps, the DB-PRE also relies on the dual-channel sound generation with FET and TUBE Drive, which can be used to create extremely tidy Bass sounds as well as juicy overdrive with vintage character. You can use both channels alternately or mix them to create modern Bass sounds with powerful overdrive and defined low end.
Flexible sound design
Bass For flexible sound shaping, Laney's Digbeth Preamp offers two equalizers. The classic 4-band tone control allows you to precisely adjust the timbre, with the low-mid control offering three selectable center frequencies in the character-shaping frequency ranges. The Tilt EQ, on the other hand, shapes the overall sound by emphasizing either the low or high frequencies of the signal.
Practical connection diversity
Last but not least, the Laney Digbeth DB-Pre convinces with practical connections that make using the pedal on stage and in the recording studio particularly convenient. Separate inputs provide the appropriate input sensitivity for active and passive electric basses, while the effects loop can be used to integrate additional effects devices into the signal chain. The balanced XLR DI-Out with selectable tap point also allows the bass signal to be picked up directly for mixing consoles or audio interfaces. Last but not least, there is an aux-in for feeding backing tracks and a headphone jack for playing the bass guitar silently.
