The Music Man Sterling 5 H RW White is a practical 5-string electric bass with a characterful sound spectrum that makes it a flexible all-rounder for almost any musical style. In addition to the compactly designed body made of selected hardwood, the five-string has a pleasantly playable maple neck with oil-wax finish. At the bass amplifier the Music Man ceramic humbucker, whose coils can be called up in different circuits by means of a 3-way switch, provides for multifaceted timbres between present transparency and powerful power sound with tight output of the B-string. An active 3-band tone control is also available for adjusting the sound. High-quality hardware in the form of the solid Music Man bass bridge and precise Schaller BM tuners completes the Sterling 5 H RW White by Music Man.

Practical design with high playing comfort
When designing the Sterling 4, Music Man paid special attention to lively sound characteristics and a high level of playing comfort. Accordingly, the body, which is significantly smaller than that of the StingRay, is made of carefully selected hardwood and nestles comfortably against the player. In addition, the five-screw maple neck feels especially comfortable in the hand thanks to the silky oil-wax finish, so that every groove comes off with ease on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Flexible sound with ceramic humbucker and active EQ
The electrical sound conversion of the Music Man Sterling 5 H RW White is done by a Music Man ceramic humbucker placed in the usual sweet spot. The coils of the humbucker can be activated in different combinations by means of a 3-way switch. In addition to the balanced parallel circuit and the powerful power sound of the serially connected coils, transparent and dynamic single-coil sounds are available, which remain free of unwanted noise thanks to the phantom coil. For precise adjustment of the bass sound, an active 3-band tone control is also on board.
Five Schaller BM bass machine heads guarantee precise and stable tuning of the Music Man Sterling 5.

Naturally, the Music Man Sterling 5 H RW White is rounded off by high-quality hardware that can handle tough stage and tour use with ease. On the body, the Music Man standard bass bridge made of steel is used, whose separately adjustable string saddles guarantee optimal intonation and string position. Behind the compensated saddle, which promises a clean intonation of the empty strings, Schaller BM bass machine heads also ensure a stable and accurate tuning of the five-string.
