The Tama Superstar Classic CL50KRS in Blue Lacquer Burst is a 5-piece drumset made from 100% maple. Tama's Superstar Classic series marks the preliminary culmination of a 40-year success story, so the classic T-badge was reinstalled. The lacquered maple drum shells are made from carefully selected maple wood and are equipped with high quality hardware, such as Star mount, low mass lugs and triple flanged hoops. An all-round drumset, which impressed with its low price. The relatively thin shells produce a brute and assertive sound without compromise, also thanks to the fine 45 ° bearing edge and the Tama Power Craft II heads.
The Tom Toms are mounted using the proven Tama Star Mount suspension, which guarantees a free vibration behavior and full resonance. The suspension is mounted at four points at the top of the shell and also has flexible wing nuts, thus ensuring ideal access during setup and flexible positioning of the drums. The rubber-padded low mass lugs and the classic Tama T-badge were taken from the old Superstar series and look great as a modern version with some retro charm of the Tama Superstar Classic drumsets.

Other than the Tama Superstar Hyperdrive, the Superstar Classic shells come in classic sizes and no shortened shells. The thin shells of the Tama Superstar Classic are made from carefully selected maple wood. The bass drum consists of 8 plies with a thickness of 7 mm, toms and snare of 6 plies with 5 mm total thickness. This results in a resonant, deep basic character with a lot of power and assertiveness, which is well recognizable.
The fine 45° bearing edges guarantee optimum response in combination with the Tama Power Craft II heads. The Tama Superstar Classic shells also look great thanks to the high quality lacquer finish.
